The questions I have are these:ġ/ Firstly I'm assuming that a normal restore from a file on M will do as I expect and that Bitlocker on the restored image will continue as if nothing had happened. Occasionally I will move backup file/s from 'M' to a secure external non encrypted HDD as an archive. Although I've not needed to do a restore as yet I've encountered no issues making backups with Bitlocker and the disk configuration described. There are two internal SSD's (apparently drive 2 hosting Windows is the normal default configuration)īoth drives and all partitions are Bitlocker enabled and unlock automatically when I sign in to Windows.ĭisk images include C, D and F partitions and these are stored locally on the M partition. This is a Dell laptop on which I have done a totally clean install. The screen shot shows my drive/s configuration. I've no worries over handing normal backup and restores on non Bitlocker systems, it is Bitlocker that has prompted me to ask and clarify some details. I have a few questions that relate to use of Bitlocker.
